Record-breaking SRH Destroys RCB

Published by

Sunrisers Hyderabad have been the team to beat this IPL season as the side posted two record-breaking scores this season. Earlier, it was the 277 batting innings against Mumbai Indians and today, it is another record-breaking 287 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

After being put in to bat first, SRH piled up 287, breaking their own record from the game against Mumbai. The sensational batting display from SRH sealed the game in the first innings itself. Despite a positive start to Bengaluru from Kohli and Faf, the target was above and beyond their reach.

In response, RCB scored 262 which is a decent fightback, but ended up losing the game by a margin of 25 runs. The Bengaluru side has now lost 6 out of their 7 games.

SRH has now become the first side in the history of IPL to score 250+ runs twice and they hold the top two records for the highest number of runs scored in an innings.
