Telangana’s Food Safety Department conducted surprise inspections at hostels and PGs in Hyderabad. The ‘Food Safety on Wheels’ vehicle uncovered numerous violations, including fungal-infested potatoes, rotten tomatoes, and expired spices. Rusted cooking utensils, pests, and unhygienic kitchens were also found, highlighting the need for stricter food safety measures.
