NASA’s image of Phobos, Mars’ irregularly-shaped moon, has captivated the internet. Nicknamed the “space potato”, Phobos measures 27 by 22 by 18 kilometers and is on a collision course with Mars, set to either crash or break apart into a ring in the next 50 million years.
