The parents of Captain Anshuman Singh, who was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra, claim his wife Smriti took the medal and other belongings after his funeral. They allege Smriti, who doesn’t live with them anymore, also received financial benefits as the “next of kin” under Army rules. The grieving parents only have a photo of their son on the wall and want the NOK policy revisited.
