3,500-Year-Old Mummy’s Open Mouth

In 1935, archaeologists discovered a mummy in Egypt with its mouth open. The woman likely died 3,500 years ago. While many studies were done, the reason for her open mouth was unclear. Recently, it was suggested that violent death, screaming, poor preservation, and strong wrapping might be the causes.
