The Indian government has migrated around 16.68 lakh official email accounts to a cloud-based platform operated by Zoho Corporation, spending about ₹180 crore so far. The move, overseen by the Ministry of Electronics and IT, aims to create a secure and sovereign email system for government departments, with data fully owned and controlled by the government.
