Global crude oil prices are skyrocketing amidst conflicts in West Asia. While the price of a barrel stood at $70 prior to Iran War, it is currently trading above the $100 mark. At one point, it even reached as high as $144. Nevertheless, domestic prices have remained stable. Consequently, public sector oil companies have incurred losses of ₹30,000 crore.
