Sunrisers Hyderabad is continuing its dismal show in IPL 2021. It lost six of its seven games in the first leg of the league. When fans were hoping to see them win in the second leg, the men in orange disappointed once again by losing to Delhi Capitals last night.
Sunrisers won the toss and chose to bat first. Once again, the team put up a poor batting performance which resulted in a low score of 134-9 in 20 overs. Delhi comfortably chased the total in 17.5 overs and won the match by 8 wickets.
With this defeat, SRH now lost seven of its eight games. Thus, it is almost impossible for them to qualify for the playoffs.
The team needs to win all the rest of the matches and pray for the other results to turn in their favour, to qualify for the knock-out stage.
Going by its current form, it looks like SRH doesn’t have enough potential to win all the matches from now on. So even fans have lost their hopes now. This will be the first time since 2015 where Sunrisers failed to qualify for the playoffs.
The team needs a major reshuffle and fans are hoping that the management buys some quality picks and forms a balanced side in the 2022 mega auction.
