In the MPTC and ZPTC elections, Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party reported decent results. Jana Sena bagged 180 MPTC seats and it shocked the ruling YSRCP at Kadiam, East Godavari district by winning the ZPTC.
However, Jana Sena’s happiness did not last long as the YCP is reportedly persuading the Jana Sena MPTC and ZPTC candidates. The ruling party is putting all efforts to give a major shocker to Jana Sena at Kadiam mandal and is said to be using the police force too.
Sensing this foul play, MPTC and ZPTC candidates met Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan and explained their situation in their respective villages. “Despite many hurdles created by the ruling party, our candidates did put up a decent show. But YCP is indulging in silly tricks and is influencing our MPTC and ZPTC. I’m saddened that the police are playing a spectator role and are being biased towards the ruling party,” said Pawan.
The Jana Sena chief cited two instances wherein police bashed Ramireddy Satish who won with a majority of over 1100 votes and Kothapalli Ayyappa, a party worker.
“We did take these incidents to the notice of police but the cops were reluctant to even file a case. If the YCP government continues to attack, I would definitely be at Kadiam and settle the matter,” warned Pawan.
The local body polls and results have given enough confidence to Jana Sena and Pawan and so they are adamant in retaining their candidates and also the Kadiam ZPTC.
