Though Sunrisers Hyderabad has put on a dismal show in IPL 2021, they have found a gem towards the end of the league. Young pacer from Jammu and Kashmir, Umran Malik, who made his debut just a couple of matches ago, has now become a new sensation in the tournament.
Umran Malik replaced Sandeep Sharma in the playing XI, in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders. He made an impression right in the first game by clocking speed around 150 kmph.
In his very next match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he became the bowler to bowl the fastest delivery of this season. Malik’s delivery of 152.9 kmph is now the fastest ball bowled by any bowler in IPL 2021. What makes Malik an interesting talent is that he is clocking 150 kmph regularly.
In one of his overs, he bowled three consecutive balls of a speed over 150 kmph. That proves what a serious talent he is.
Generally, we don’t see Indian pacers clocking such speeds on a regular basis. Watching Umran Malik generating such a pace frequently, is now making Indian cricket experts and fans very happy.
He will definitely be a player to watch out for in the upcoming mega auction. It has to be seen if SRH leaves him or retains him for the next season.
