IPL 2022 Auction: Warner Goes To DC; SRH opens no bid

IPL 2022 mega auction is taking place today and tomorrow. The biggest cricket season is taking place in India this year. Last year, the half-season took place in India and the other half-season took place in the UAE. BCCI confirmed that this year’s IPL will be taking place in India without the attendance of spectators. Meanwhile, the initial set of auctions kicked off today in a grand manner.

The marquee set of players will be the first one to be brought up in front of the 10 franchises. The star players like Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Pat Cummins, Quinton de Kock, Shikhar Dhawan, Faf du Plessis, Shreyas Iyer, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Shami, and David Warner are included in the auction.

Among all the ten players, Shreyas Iyer was grabbed by Kolkata Knight Riders for 12.25 Crore rupees. Ravichandran Ashwin was grabbed for 5 Crore rupees.

Sun Risers Hyderabad did not open any bids in the initial round which is a disappointment. Star player of the team, David Warner was grabbed by Delhi Capitals.
