History: Afghanistan Kick Australia Out of World Cup

The ongoing T20 World Cup saw its biggest twist in the tale as Afghanistan delivered a killer shock to Australia in what has been a historic night in the cricketing world.

Earlier, India beat Australia last night, thus qualifying to the semifinals. For Australia to quality, they needed Bangladesh to beat Afghanistan in the final Super 8 game that started at 6 AM today.

Afghanistan batted first and scored 115 which looked like a chaseable target but Bangladesh made a mess of it and lost the game by 8 runs in the end.

Afghanistan who miraculously beat Bangladesh have now kicked Australia out of the T20 World Cup and qualified for the semifinals. This is the first time in the history of Afghanistan that they have qualified for the semifinals, and more fittingly by eliminating Australia.

In the semifinals, India will be facing England while Afghanistan will be facing South Africa.
