Sunrisers Hyderabad has been playing the most entertaining brand of cricket, which is superior to all other teams in the IPL. This all out attack approach is obviously bound to bring out negative results occasionally, and something of this sort happened in the game against Lucknow.
The high flying Hyderabad side which has been running riot with their exuberant batting performances, got humbled by the calculated and well balance, Lucknow side last night.
After being put to bat first Hyderabad got to 190 runs which looked just about out on this beautiful batting wicket in Uppal Stadium. Nevertheless, it was not going to be too easy to chase down this big target for Lucknow.
However, Lucknow came out all guns blazing with a powerful Nicolas Pooran setting the stadium on fire with his 70 from 28 balls. Thanks to his immensely impactful knock, Lucknow chased down this decent target set by Hyderabad in just 16 overs.
In a way, it could be said that Hyderabad got absolutely humbled in their home ground in this game. But that doesn’t take away, the fact that Hyderabad is still the most entertaining team of IPL.
Coming to the points table, Hyderabad slipped from first position to 6th position with this one single defeat. The net runrate also took a big beating. It is important that Hyderabad bounce us back with their next game, which is against Delhi on March 30.
