50 Runs Not Big Defeat, CSK Captain Getting Trolled

Captain in the Chennai Super Kings franchise is not an easy thing to do as this happens to be one of the most successful and followed teams in the history of IPL. Appears that the current captain of Ruturaj Gaikwad did not get a measure of what is at stake with this franchise.

While fans were already frustrated with their team, losing by imagine of 50 runs against Bengaluru yesterday, the statement issued by Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad triggered them further.

Gaikwad stated that the result could have been much worse, and it is good that they did not lose by a bigger margin, and it is just by a margin of 50 runs.

This wild comment from the CSK captain was immediately met with criticism on social media as fans felt absolutely shocked by their captain, saying 50 runs margin is not a big deal. It must be noted that losing by emerging of 50 runs in T20 cricket is a pretty big defeat and that’s the argument that is being made by CSK fans as well.

CSK fans are calling for better character and aggression from the captain as issuing such statements after losing by such a big margin to a rival team like Bengaluru is not good. They are calling for better improvement and fighting spirit from their team.

Even the general perception now is that a team like CSK, which has won 5 IPL trophies and has a pretty good record in the league can’t have its captain saying 50 runs margin is not a big deal.
