India to Stop Playing Cricket with Bangladesh Along with Pak ?

The Pahalgam terror attack is one of the biggest terror attacks in the recent times. The Indian government is beyond shocked with the cruel act by Pakistan. Already, as a counter measure, India suspended the trade with Pakistan and tightening all the loose ends such that the neighbouring country will have to struggle and further suffer. In this scenario, the effect is also visible on the cricketing calendar.

As per the sources from the cricket world, Pakistan might not be a part of the Asia cup, supposed to be held this year. Veteran cricketer Sunil Gavaskar made a prediction in this context that Pakistan will most likely not take part in the series.

“India and Sri Lanka are the hosts for this particular edition of the Asia Cup, so it depends on whether things have changed at all, but if things haven’t changed, I can’t see Pakistan now being part of the Asia Cup,” Gavaskar said.

The impact is not just on Asia Cup but India’s Bangladesh tour is also likely to be suspended. A retired Bangladesh army officer stirred a controversy on social media recently.

“If India attacks Pakistan, Bangladesh should occupy seven states of North-East India. In this regard, I think it is necessary to start a discussion on a joint-military system with China,” he wrote on Facebook and it did not go well with the Indians.
