One of the special attractions of the ongoing season of the IPL is the debut of the youngest player in the history of the tournament in the form of Vaibhav Suryavanshi. This 14 year old batsman from Bihar debuted for Rajasthan Royals this year and has made a mark for himself.
Coming to the topic, now, we are going to witness a very interesting faceoff in the IPL today in the form of the clash between the eldest player in the league, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and the youngest player, Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
While Dhoni will be captaining Chennai Super Kings in today’s game against Rajasthan, Vaibhav will be playing at the top of the innings for the latter.
It must be very interesting to note that a 43 year old Dhoni will be taking on a 14 year old batsman who is playing for Rajasthan Royals. The very fact that the age difference between the two of them is nearly 30 years shows the kind of diversity and peculiar situations that we can see only in IPL.
One of the greatest veterans of the game, Dhoni will be coming up against one of the bustling young talents of Indian cricket circuit in the form of Vaibhav today.
Will veteran Dhoni help his Chennai side gain some respect at the closing stage of the tournament, or will a young Vaibhav take his team on a rollicking ride and brush away Chennai?
We will know the answer later in the day today as this game is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM today.
