Pant Heroics In Vain, RCB Peaking At Right Time?

Rishabh Pant had one of the most horrid seasons of his career this year as he absolutely struggled with the batting form and captaincy choices. But he came good in the final game against RCB by scoring a century.

Pant was very good with the bat in the game against RCB, where he ended up scoring 118 runs. He was a brilliant with the bat in hand as RCB bowlers, found it extremely hard to negotiate his onslaught.

However, despite the heroics of Rishabh Pant, his scheme was not close to challenging RCB. The big target of 227 run that was set by Lucknow was very comfortably chased down by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in under 19 overs.

With a strong performance, Bengaluru has given a clear indication that they are witnessing their peak potential at the right time before the knockout. But the crucial challenge here is going to be to continue this momentum in the qualifier against Punjab.

Coming back to Pant, it was essential that he had a substantial innings ahead of the closure of the season. This innings in the final game is at least of some solace for him as recent weeks have been hard on him both as a player and as a captain.
