As we had reported earlier, India completed a strong comeback in the fourth test match against England by drawing the game out of absolutely nowhere. This might not be the optimal victory result for India, but it certainly keeps them in the hunt in the series.
Coming to the topic now, after the completion of the game, there was this one particular incident where England, captain Ben Stokes did not shake the hands of Indian players, Jadeja and Washington Sundar.
While it is a customary tradition for all the players and coaching staff to shake hands after the completion of a game, the England captain dismayed the same.
This primarily stems from the fact that Stokes had earlier wanted to settle the game as a draw with 15 overs to go in the Indian innings, but both Jadeja and Sundar refused the same. This was due to the fact that the Indian batsmen had played enough overs already, and there is no way England could have come back in the game.
Point to be noted here is that both Jadeja and Sundar wanted to get to their centuries, and that is the reason why they declined the request from Ben Stokes to draw the innings with 15 hours to go.
It appeared that Stokes was completely bemused by this refusal from the Indian players, and he expressed his dissatisfaction through the course of the final few overs. Then it reached the climax when Stokes refused to shake hands with Jadeja and Sundar after the compilation of the innings, and this video is now going viral.
