The Indian woman’s cricket team created history last night by winning the 50 over World Cup for the first time in the history. The team is being flooded with congratulatory posts from all quarters.
Coming to the monetary side of things, it is now being established that the Indian Women’s team is going to be fairly compensated for their brilliant performance on the field.
According to the latest reports, the ICC would be granting the prize money of $4.48 million to the Indian team. This would roughly convert to around ₹39 crore.
Then there is also an interesting report in circulation on social media, as it is heard that the BCCI is likely to grant ₹125 crore to the Indian women’s team. This is in accordance with the fact that the Indian men’s team has also received ₹125 crore for winning the T20 World Cup recently.
