Thanks To Ro-Ko, India Wins 1st ODI!

Team India has been having a horrendous time on the field in the test format and their most recent loss at home came to South Africa in the recent series. This added a lot of pressure on the ODI series that started today, and India has managed to make a successful start here.

In the first ODI that was played at the Ranchi cricket Stadium, India managed to beat South Africa by a narrow margin of just 17 runs.

After being put to bat first India scored a massive 349 runs thanks to Supreme contributions from Virat Kohli, who scored a century and Rohit Sharma. The legendary combination of Rohit Kohli brilliantly for India and helped the team to post a significant target.

In response, India was absolutely brilliant with the ball in the opening exchanges as they confined South Africa to 11-3 at one point. But then came the fight back from South Africa as their middle batsmen, mainly Marco Jansen crafted havoc. 

In the end, South Africa needed 18 runs from the final over, and this was been Prashid Krishna came to bowl. He was composed with the ball as he picked up the last wicket and completed a close victory for India.

Thanks to significant contributions from Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma India was able to win this game by 17 runs margin. This is precisely what the team needed after the horrifying test series loss to South Africa.

This victory for India in the first ODI game would essentially mean that they would make a positive start to the 3-match series. The focus will now shift to the 2nd ODI on December 3, followed by the final ODI on December 6 in Vizag.
