Young Guns Firing: Great Signs For SRH?

For the last three years, Sunrisers Hyderabad has been one of the most entertaining franchises in IPL with a consistent brand of aggressive Cricket. A similar performance is expected from them in the 2026 season as well, and things are starting to look promising already.

The best prospect about SRH for the coming 2026 season is the return of form for talented youngsters like Ishaan Kishan and Nitish Kumar Reddy.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Ishaan Kishan created a sensation in the Syed Mustaq Ali trophy by smashing a century in the final and leading Jharkhand to their first ever trophy. He has been in brilliant form and great things are expected from him at the top of the order for SRH for the coming season.

Then we have Nitish Kumar Reddy, who had a brilliant debut season in IPL in 2024 but a rather dry 2025. And luckily, he has also returned to form in the ongoing Vijay Hazare trophy for the Andhra Pradesh cricket team. 

Nitish had been performing consistently for Andhra both as the captain of the team, and also as an all rounder. Return to farm in the domestic circuit must mean great things for SRH in IPL and also the Indian national cricket team. 

Adding to that, we have the case of Abhishek Sharma, who has been in brilliant form for a long time and is expected to blast at the top of the order anyway. So with so much talent pool amongst the younger generation, SRH could very well be the team to beat next year, if all the compounds work perfectly on the field.
