T20 World Cup: Can Telugu Gun Tilak Make It?

One of the finest cricketing talents from the Telugu states, Tilak Varma has been in brilliant form in the recent past as he had been excellent in bilateral series. But just when everyone thought he would be a crucial player for India in the upcoming T20 World Cup, something unexpected has happened.

The latest development are suggesting that Tilak Varma has undergone testicular surgery and he might take up to 4 weeks to recover fully from the same.

The point that must be noted here as that the T20 World Cup is just around a month from now, so it has to be seen if Tilak would recover on time before the start of the tournament. Even if he does recover, there is the need to gain the momentum and practice adequately to be game-ready.

For now, Tilak Varma is a part of the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup, and the expectation is that he would be performing well for the team. However, this news about the injury has come as a last minute shocker that no one wanted. 

Tilak has been the best T20 player for India in the last six months, and he would obviously hold a lot of importance in the middle order for the men in blue in the upcoming T20 World Cup tournament. 

Meanwhile, India will be playing the first game of the tournament on 7 February, and this will be against the United States.
