History in WPL: Meet First Player To Score Century!

It is already known that the female equivalent of the Indian Premier League is held in the name of Women Premier League in India. This tournament has been gaining prominent and significance over the last few years, and now we have a significant milestone.

The ongoing season of WPL has produced the first century by a female player in the league as Mumbai Indians batter Natalie Sciver Brunt has scored the first ever century.

This English player had a remarkable innings in the game between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru tonight as she created history by scoring the first ever century in the league.

Natalie scored hundred runs from 59 balls, and this is the first time a player has touched the three figure mark in WPL. She will go down in history as the first player to open this bracket in the Women’s Premier League.

On a related note, the WPL is progressing quickly as RCB which had won the trophy last year has been topping the league this year as well. The only team that can stop the dominance of Bengaluru is obviously Mumbai and it has to be seen if that’d actually turn out to be the case as well.
