It’s Official: Another Big Team Out Of T20 World Cup!

One of the more entertaining games of the ongoing T20 World Cup unfolded in Sri Lanka last night as the host nation, Sri Lanka faced Pakistan. This was an entertaining game from start to finish as Pakistan batter first and scored 212 runs.

There was the nett run rate equation in play in this game as Pakistan needed to defeat Sri Lanka by a margin of 65 runs to progress to the semifinals.

However, Sri Lanka was equally good with the bat as they scored 207 runs in the second innings and ended up closing the game by a narrow margin of just 5 runs.

Subsequently, the run rate equation went out of Pakistan’s hand, and they have now been eliminated from the tournament.

England, New Zealand, and South Africa have already qualified for the semi-final and the winner of the game between India and West Indies tomorrow night will be progressing for the semi-final.
