The first double-header of the ongoing IPL 2026 has happened today as two games were held in which succession. The first game was between Mumbai and Delhi while second was between Rajasthan and Gujarat.
The first game between Mumbai and Delhi progresses on a very sided note. Mumbai scored a moderate score of 160 runs and this was down by Delhi comfortably.
This much anticipated class between Mumbai and Delhi, which was expected to be a close encounter, turned out to be a boring game as the result was decided halfway through the second innings itself.
This was followed by an absolute thriller in the second game that happened between Rajasthan and Gujarat later on in the night.
This was a high scoring encounter where Rajasthan bat first and scored 210 runs. In response to this, Gujarat was very comfortable with the bat till 10 over mark, but this was when they started to lose wickets consistently.
In the end, Gujarat needed 11 runs from the final over, but they could not come remotely close to the same. Subsequently, Rajasthan ended up winning this game by margin of 6 runs and clinching the game for good.
And now we have two games coming up tomorrow as well. Hyderabad will be facing Lucknow, while Chennai will be facing Bengaluru in the two games tomorrow. What is for certain is that some blockbuster Cricket is going to be unfolding in under 24 hours.
