Sunrisers Hyderabad have been very constructive with the bat in the ongoing season of IPL 2026, but the results have not been going their way. Despite scoring more than 200 runs on two occasions, SRH ended up losing both the games.
The most recent defeat came in the form of the game against Punjab when Sunrisers scored a super impressive, 219 runs but ended up the game still.
Batting first, Hyderabad got off to a sensational start thanks to Abhishek Sharma, who is absolutely untouchable with the bat. But the team slowed down considerably after the power play as Punjab made a strong comeback.
In the second innings, Punjab started very well with the bat themselves and scored 94 runs in the powerplay. SRH made a decent come back in the middle overs but Punjab captain Shreyas was simply too good with as he comfortably won it for Punjab.
In the end, Punjab on the game with an over to spare and currently at the top of the table winning all the games that they’ve played except the one washed out game.
This is going to be a gutting defeat for Hyderabad, as they are struggling at the middle of the table by winning a single game out of the four that they have played.
