Big Humiliation To GOAT IPL Team!

There was once a time when Mumbai Indians were so very lethal in the IPL that other teams used to be absolutely terrorised by the very sight of this team. The kind of dominance that Mumbai had starting from 2013-20 is exceptional as they won 5 titles in this span.

There is no debating the fact that Mumbai Indians is one of the all-time great IPL franchise and they have a super rich legacy behind them.

But that is not even remotely the case these days with Mumbai as they have become completely jaded. Even in this season, Mumbai Indians played a total of five games till now and ended up losing four of them.

The return of Hardik Pandya as a captain and also as a player was expected to do great things for the Mumbai team, but that is not the case. It appears that he does not have the respect of the dressing room as the whole atmosphere amongst the Mumbai players is very different these days.

The option of going for Hardik Pandya as the captain, while other seniors like Surya Kumar Yadav and Jaspreet Bumrah were already in the team under the leadership of Rohit Sharma appears to be having a negative reaction even to this day. Composition and team chemistry has not been same since the last three years.

Mumbai Indians is currently in the ninth position on the table, and it has to be seen if they could make an unlikely come back in the rest of season. The significant defeat against Punjab Kings by a massive over-rate margin is going to dent this team further.
