Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has congratulated the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for successfully conducting a key part of the ambitious Gaganyaan mission. On Wednesday night, ISRO tweeted an update about the mission.
“#ISRO on July 14, 2021 has successfully conducted the hot test of the liquid propellant Vikas Engine for the core L110 liquid stage of the human rated GSLV MkIII vehicle, as part of engine qualification requirements for the #Gaganyaan Programme,” tweeted ISRO.
“Congratulations!,” wrote Musk below ISRO’s tweet with Indian flag. This is not Musk’s first acknowledgement of ISRO’s achievement. In February 2017, ISRO sent 104 satellites in a single rocket and Musk was very impressed with ISRO’s work then.
A space enthusiast Musk has been extensively working to make space travel affordable and his company SpaceX is developing reusable rocket technology.
Coming to India’s Gaganyaan Mission, ISRO wants to take Indians to space in an Indian vehicle. For this ISRO has conducted human rated GSLV MkIII vehicle for engine qualification requirements for the manned mission and it was successful.
