TikTok star Anthony Barajas died after he was shot at a California movie theatre. The officials described the incident as a “random and unprovoked” attack.
Along with the 19-year-old Anthony Barajas, his 18-year-old friend Rylee Goodrich was also killed in the shooting, said police in Corona in Southern California. The duo was shot Monday at a theatre that was showing “The Forever Purge”. Cops said that the theatre staff found two shots in the head after the movie.
Rylee Goodrich died at the scene while Barajas was rushed to a hospital immediately. The local prosecutors said in a statement that the evidence shows it to appear to be a random and unprovoked attack.
After cops took help from witnesses, 20-year-old Joseph Jimenez was charged in the shooting. Police have said he apparently acted alone and did not know the victims. Anthony Barajas had nearly 930,000 followers on TikTok and he topped in soccer games at high school level.
