India is registering a new record every other day in the Corona virus positive cases and deaths. Beating the previous day’s record, India reported 9987 new positive cases in the last 24 hours. Also for the first time, over 300 people have died in a single day. 331 passed away yesterday and this is the biggest death count so far.
The total cases have reached 2,66,598 while the active cases count is 1,29,917 while 1,29,215 people have recovered. The death tally went up to 7466. Maharashtra is leading in most number of cases and is nearing 90,000 mark. Tamil Nadu, New Delhi, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan are the next states with five figure cases.
In an alarming situation, the Corona cases increasing in North East India states. Tripura, Naga Land and Meghalaya have posted many cases in the last couple of days.
Telangana has posted 92 new cases yesterday while Andhra Pradesh has 4807 cases as of June 8th.
