Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi has been tested positive of the Covid-19 and he became the first cricketer to get infected. Afridi took to his Twitter and made this announcement.
“I’ve been feeling unwell since Thursday; my body had been aching badly. I’ve been tested and unfortunately I’m covid positive. Need prayers for a speedy recovery, InshaAllah,” tweeted Afridi.
Since the outbreak of the virus in the country, Afridi has been helping poor people through his foundation. He visited many places like Balochistan and made it to headlines that one day he wants to become the team captain of Kashmir cricket team.
Having gone from one place to another in the last two months, Afridi might have contracted the virus.
Meanwhile in Pakistan, the total number of Covid-19 cases stand at 1,32,405 while 2,551 people have died of the virus.
