Andhra Pradesh has posted 351 new Covid-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours. A total of 15,188 samples were tested and among 275 results of locals have arrived as positive while the rest of the cases are from migrants and foreign returnees.
The total number of cases count stand at 5,555 while 2,559 are active cases and 2,906 people have got discharged. Also two people have died in the last 24 hours and with the total death count is 90.
Meanwhile country wide, 2003 people have passed away in a single day and this is the biggest spike since the outbreak of the virus in the country. Maharashtra reported maximum deaths with 1409 but in the past 24 hours, 81 people have died and officials added 1,328 deaths after the reconciliation exercise.
The national death toll now stands at 11,921 and globally India stands at eighth spot.
