From the past few days across Telangana, COVID numbers are surging and virus is spreading into small communities. The situation is worsening in Hyderabad and is becoming uncontrollable. Telangana continuously is setting record highs in the state for new daily cases.
Although government officials are campaigning against private gatherings and prohibition of parties to discourage people from coming together during this pandemic, some backyard celebrations have resulted in a big chain of cases. While the cases have soared to 22,000+ in Telangana with more than 20% positivity rate, a group of youngsters in Hyderabad have violated the COVID restrictions to celebrate a birthday party at Park Hyatt.
According to media reports, a group of people caused ‘Hungama’ at a birthday party in Park Hyatt and violated the restrictions of COVID. Having received the information from some internal sources, the Police officials immediately rushed to the hotel and took 8 members into custody. Officials who registered a case against them identified that a person named Santhosh Reddy, who organised a rave party in Jubilee Hills, is behind this birthday celebration as well.
Across Hyderabad, hotels and restaurants are non-functional and they are only allowed to serve online orders.
