Actor Farhan Akhtar To Tie Knot For The Second Time

After Katrina Kaif, Rajkummar Rao, Mouni Roy, and Karishma Tanna’s weddings, it’s time for another wedding in Bollywood. The 48-year-old actor and director, Farhan Akhtar is getting ready to tie the knot for the second time with partner Shibani Dandekar.

The lovebirds will register their marriage on February 21. The couple filed the application in early January, and the registration is expected to take place at either of their Bandra residences on the big day. Farhan’s father and renowned lyricist, Javed Akhtar confirms the good news.

“Yes, the wedding is taking place. Rest, Shaadi ki jo taiyyariyan hain that is being taken care of by the wedding planners,” he quoted. Citing the spike in covid cases, the ceremony will be a simple affair with limited members attending. After the court marriage, Farhan and Shibani will be celebrating with family and close friends at Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi’s Khandala farmhouse, Sukoon.

For the unversed, Farhan Akhtar was married to celebrity hairstylist, Adhuna Babani for 16 years. The couple got married in 2000 after dating for two years and in 2016, they have legally ended with a court order. They have a daughter together, Akira.
