Covid-19 India: Cases @ 12 Lakh

India has breached into the 12 Lakh Covid-19 cases mark after 45,720 new cases have been filed in the last 24 hours. The total cases now stand at 12,38,635 and in just a matter of two days, India has reported one Lakh cases.

Also for the first time, the death toll has crossed one thousand. Tamil Nadu state has revised the death tally and so an addition of 444 deaths have been made to the tally. In the last 24 hours, 1129 people have died and this is the biggest death count in a single day. The total death count of the country stands at 29,861.

The recovery rate in the country is also at good pace. 782,607 patients have got cured of the virus so far while over 4 Lakh are active cases.

Telangana is just short of 50K cases while AP has gone past 60K cases. AP is reporting record cases every other day and especially many districts, the situation is quite alarming.
