With huge success for Mumbai Indians franchise, Rayudu earned a place in the Indian cricket team too. Till 2017, Rayudu was part of Mumbai Indians team and in 2018, he joined Chennai Super Kings. In CSK, Rayudu emerged as one of the crucial middle order batsmen and even was part of CSK’s winning the trophy of IPL.

In 2021 CSK released Rayudu for the mega auction but the Chennai franchise showed faith in him and bought him for Rs 6.75 crore.
