Lost PubG game, Andhra Boy Commits Suicide

A 15-year-old from Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh has reportedly committed suicide after he was humiliated for losing a PubG game. The deceased is identified as Vutukuru Prabhu and he was found hanging on Sunday morning.

According to the police, Prabhu was spending his summer holidays with his father. Apparently Prabhu’s father and mother divorced a few years ago and are living separately. The family members say that Prabhu used to play PubG for hours on mobile and on Saturday night, he played a multiplayer game with one of his cousins.

Prabhu lost the game and the rest of the family members teased him for losing despite being a pro. Upset with the humiliation before family, Prabhu slept alone in a room and on Sunday morning when his father broke the doors to see his son lifeless.

However Prabhu’s mother had her doubts on son’s death and approached the cops. The police lodged a case of suspicious death under Section 174 of the CrPC and investigation is on.

PubG, the mobile game causes huge anxiety especially among the teens. Recently a teenager killed his mother in Uttar Pradesh for stopping him from playing PubG. The latest incident is yet another episode of adverse effects of PubG.
