India has making new records in new Covid-19 cases and deaths every other day. Overtaking Italy, India is currently at fifth spot with 35,786 deaths globally and 779 people have died in the last 24 hours.
55,079 new positive cases were reported yesterday and this made the total Corona cases touch the 16 Lakh mark. The total cases count is at 16,38,871 including 5,45,318 active cases and 10,57,806 cured/discharged.
The health ministry bulletin added that India’s recovery rate is 64.54 percent while death rate is 2.18 percent.
The state of Telangana has reported 1984 new cases and this is the biggest spike in a single day. The total cases count in the state is at 62,703.
