Jai Shri Ram, Says Ex Pak Cricketer

Ram Mandir

Pakistan’s former cricketer and Indian-origin Pakistani, Danish Kaneria, has made interesting comments on the eve of Ram Mandir’s Bhumi Pujan at the historical place in Ayodhya.

Sharing his happiness over Ram Mandir’s construction, Kenria said there is a wave of happiness across the world. He added that it is a moment of great satisfaction. He took to Twitter to share his contentedness over Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. He posted a beautiful picture of Lord Shri Ram with the words “Jai Shri Ram”. He wrote, “The beauty of Lord Rama lies in his character, not in his name. He is a symbol of the victory of right over the evil. There is wave of happiness across the world today. It is a moment of great satisfaction. #JaiShriRam.”

A right-arm leg spinner known for his well-disguised googly, Kaneria had played for Pakistan’s cricket team in 61 Test matches and 18 One-day International Cricket Matches. Kaneria was the second Hindu after Anil Dalpat who played for the Pakistan cricket team.

Interestingly, Kaneria is the cousin of Anil Dalpat who was Pakistani wicket-keeper. Kaneria, whose roots are from India’s Gujarat, is married to Dharmita Kaneria, a daughter of a Varasia family, in 2004. The couple has to two children – daughter Parisa Kaneria and son Danish Kaneria Jr.

Kaneria was allegedly involved in 2009’s spot-fixing. He is facing a life-ban in cricket for his involvement in corruption. His family had stood-by him during the tough times. Kaneria’s comment on Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir is certainly a daring move given the situations at Pakistan.
