Every now and then, one celebrity or the other is putting up a tweet saying that those who are defending the rights of dogs are actually doing more harm to society. Of course, these comments are actually targeted indirectly at former actress and activist, Amala Akkineni only.
In a special meeting of Blue Cross Society with the officials, Amala has stood by ‘dogs’, saying that killing all the street dogs is not the solution. She has given various examples of from the past where some cities and towns resorted to stuff like killing all the street dogs, but then the dog population is said to have returned in just 7-10 years. More than this revelation, it is an example given by her that is actually upsetting many.
“When a person murders someone, you don’t say that the whole human race is worst and kill them all. Similarly, when a dog kills someone, it doesn’t mean that all the dogs behave in the same way. The best way to make them neutral is by sterilising and vaccinating them” said Amala in a meeting. These comments are not going well with netizens as they are asking GHMC to dump all the dogs at Amala’s house.
On the other hand, some celebrities have taken a stand to defend the dead boy Pradeep and demand compensation to his family from the government.
