US: Donald Trump Indicted In P*rn Star Hush Money Case

As Donald Trump himself predicted that he would be indicted soon, a New York grand jury indicted him on Thursday.

Former President Donald Trump is indicted over his alleged role in a scheme to pay hush money to a porn actress during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office initially brought the case against Donald Trump and is based on an alleged #130,000 payment to an adult film actress, Stormy Daniels. The adult actress claimed she had an affair with Donald Trump and he denied it.

Trump is the first former president to ever be criminally charged.

Meanwhile, Trump’s attorneys claim that he is innocent and did not commit any crime. Trump called it a ‘witch-hunt’ in the statement he released after the indictment news broke. He alleges that it was an attempt by Democrats to interfere in the 2024 election.

The district attorney’s office asked Trump to surrender on Friday, but Trump’s lawyers replied that the timeline was too tight and they need more time to prepare.

The former president is also facing potential criminal charges on three other fronts. One over allegations of trying to undermine the 2020 election results in Georgia, taking classified documents from the White House, and for his involvement in the US Capitol riots on Jan 6, 2021.
