UK PM Rishi Sunak and his wife, Akshata Murty, visited Delhi’s Akshardham Temple during his official visit for the G20 Summit. They offered prayers and received a warm traditional Hindu welcome. The spiritual leader extended his wishes for a successful summit.
Sunak and his wife admired the temple’s art and architecture and performed a ritual pouring of water for world peace. Sunak expressed his pride in being a Hindu and his desire to visit a temple during his India visit.
The temple authorities presented him with a model of the temple as a gift. Sunak arrived in New Delhi for the G20 Summit hosted by India.
