Brazilian Influencer and reality TV star Luana Andrade lost her life following a botched operation to remove fat from her knee. She was 29 years old.
The model – influencer Luana Andrade had gone to the Hospital São Luiz in Sao Paulo on Monday to undergo a knee liposuction operation by a private surgeon and anesthesiologist hired by the family.
She reportedly suffered a respiratory issue and had cardiac arrest after two hours of the surgery. The Surgeons abruptly halted the procedure and found that she had suffered massive thrombosis. She was transferred to the ICU but breathed her last at 5:30 am on Tuesday.
The cause of death is mentioned as pulmonary embolism a sudden arterial blockage. She has more than 559,000 followers on Instagram and her fans are sending their condolences to the family and expressing their angst on models who are putting their life under threat with cosmetic surgeries.
