Sonu Sood Honoured With UN Award

In this lockdown, actor Sonu Sood helps thousands of people either by giving jobs, assisting students stuck in other countries, financially aiding the poor and a lot more. This has made him earn a huge respect and accordingly he is called ‘The Messiah of Migrants.’

Sonu’s selfless help has crossed many boundaries and this fetched a rare and prestigious award. Yes, the ‘Arundhati’ actor has been conferred with SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

This award was presented to Sonu Sood at a virtual ceremony on Monday evening. Accepting the award Sonu said, “This is a rare honour. UN recognition is very special. I have done whatever little I have done, in my own humble way, for my fellow countrymen without any expectations. However, to be recognised and awarded feels good.”

Earlier this award was given to Angelina Jolie, David Beckham, Leonardo DiCaprio, Emma Watson, and Priyanka Chopra.

Also, actor Prakash Raj along with others on the sets of Alludu Adurs, felicitated Sonu Sood.
