Renowned actor Nana Patekar finds himself embroiled in controversy once again, this time for an incident during the shoot of his upcoming film in Varanasi. A viral video capturing the actor slapping a fan attempting to take a selfie with him has ignited a storm on social media.
The video unfolds on a narrow, bustling street near Dashashwamedh Ghat, where Nana Patekar, adorned in a brown blazer and hat, was filming for his movie “Journey.” As a fan approached from behind to take a selfie, Patekar swiftly reacted by delivering a slap to the back of the boy’s head. The clip further shows a crew member intervening, seizing the boy by the neck, and escorting him away from the set.

It comes years after the actor’s involvement in the MeToo movement, adding another layer of scrutiny to his public image. The video has triggered a wave of criticism on social media platforms, highlighting the challenges faced by fans seeking interaction with their favorite celebrities and the consequences when such encounters turn unpleasant.
