Worldcup Final: “If Amitabh watches, India will lose”

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan recently shared on Twitter that the Indian cricket team seems to consistently win when he refrains from watching the match. With India set to play the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 final against Australia on November 19, Bachchan expressed uncertainty about whether he should attend the match.

His post garnered various reactions, with netizens advising him against watching the final, echoing his superstition. Comments included requests for him to stay indoors and avoid the match, with some users even humorously suggesting arrangements to keep him away from watching.

This isn’t the first time the actor has shared his cricket-related superstitions. Back in 2011, his son Abhishek Bachchan revealed that Amitabh refrains from watching matches, believing that every time he does, an Indian wicket falls.

As India prepares for the ICC World Cup final against Australia, fans playfully urge Amitabh Bachchan to maintain his tradition of not watching the match for the team’s success.

The final is scheduled to begin at 2 pm in India on Sunday, November 19, at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
