After receiving the Player of the Match award for his game-winning batting innings, Virat Kohli announced that he is retiring from the T20 format of the game.
“This is my last T20 game and my last T20 World Cup. It is time for the next generation to show their class to the world.” Kohli said as he announced his retirement from the T20I format.
Kohli will continue in the 50 over and test format henceforth and this caps an end to his monumental T20 career. Kohli had played 125 T20s till now and he scored over 4000 runs.
