In yet another blow to the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), all-rounder Vijay Shankar has been ruled out of the rest of IPL. Vijay is said to have suffered grade two injury and the SRH team management after assessing his injury confirmed that Vijay will be missing the rest of the tournament.
This is the second major blow to the SRH. Earlier death overs specialist Bhuvaneswar Kumar exited the league and now it’s Vijay Shankar. Adding fuel to the fire, the all-rounder’s injury came at a crucial point when SRH will be meeting Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Saturday.
SRH is currently at bottom to second in the points table and has two more matches to play. If SRH wins all the two matches, depending upon the net run-rate, SRH’s fate will be decided to qualify for the Playoffs.
