US: Trump Pledges To End Birthright Citizenship

Amid the speculations and fear among foreign nationals and work visa holders on what President-elect Donald Trump’s decisions could be, the man himself reiterated his decision to end birthright citizenship.

Donald Trump in an interview with NBC, said he aims to deport all immigrants who have illegally entered the US over his four-year term. And when asked if he still sticks to the promise of ending birthright citizenship on his day one as president of the US, Donald Trump says, ‘Absolutely’.

‘We are the only country that has it. We are gonna end that because it is ridiculous. If somebody sets foot on our land, ‘Congratulations! You are now a citizen of the United States of America. Yes, we’re gonna end that.’

When asked if he is willing to go around the 14th Amendment, Trump says he will do it if he has to! The decision of Trump if implemented will take away the rights of those who were born to their parents in the USA without valid documents.

About the mass deportation promise, Trump says,’I think you have to do it, It’s a very tough thing to do. It’s — but you have to have, you know, you have rules, regulations, laws. They came in illegally. You know, the people that have been treated very unfairly are the people that have been on line for 10 years to come into the country.’

When asked about the estimated 4 million families in America who have mixed immigration states, meaning parents who might be in the US illegally but kids are here legally, Trump says, ‘So the only way you don’t break up the family is you keep them together and you have to send them all back.’
