IPL 2020: Who Will Be The Purple Cap holder?

We have entered the final leg of the playoff stage in IPL 2020. In the qualifier 2 tonight, Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Delhi Capitals. Meanwhile, the purple cap competition is quite tough in this edition. Any of these three bowlers can bag that prestigious award of this season.

Jasprit Bumrah:

Currently, Bumrah is the leading wicket-taker of the tournament. He started off the tournament on a low note but came off strong in the second half of the league stage. In the last match, he scalped four wickets of Delhi Capitals and recorded his best IPL figures. Bumrah’s wicket tally is 27 now and most likely, he will be the purple cap winner of this season.

Kagiso Rabada:

The Proteas pacer has 25 wickets under his belt in this edition. He was the leading wicket-taker for a long time but Bumrah overtook him with consistent performances in the last few matches. As he can play two matches now, Rabada has fair chances of overtaking Bumrah.

Trent Boult:

Boult has now taken 22 wickets in the tournament. He has minimal chances of overtaking Bumrah and Rabada but considering his bowling abilities and the current form, there are probabilities of him becoming the purple cap holder.
